MAAG Automatik's strand pelletizers boast the highest quality. To date, approximately 15,000 units have been delivered worldwide, with over 300 units in Japan alone, and they continue to be improved and evolved. The company's pelletizers have high robustness (equipment delivered over 30 years ago is still in operation) and can provide optimal cutting tools tailored to various resins, including hard and soft resins. The lineup of MAAG Automatik's strand pelletizers is broadly divided into two types: the conventional dry-cut Primo and the underwater USG, which cuts while flowing water. Additionally, the Primo is further divided into two types: the Primo E with single-side bearing and the Primo Plus with double-side bearing. The USG is divided into two types as well: the fully automatic M-USG for mass production and the P-USG with only the essential functions.

MAAG Corporation Fully Automatic Strand Pelletizer 【M-USG】

A fully automated pelletizer that completely automates the start of operation and reduces troubles during driving.

In the conventional water tank pellet granulation process, when starting operation, it is necessary to manually transport the strands to the cutter entrance and arrange the strands so that they do not overlap, which involves hazardous and labor-intensive work. With the M-USG from MAAG Automatik, when starting operation, a sliding guide that flows the strands moves, allowing the strands to be automatically transported to the cutter entrance without human intervention, enabling cutting. The cutter part (cutting head), composed of rotating blades and feed rolls, is designed as an attachment type (modular), allowing for spare parts to be held at the module level, thus reducing downtime caused by blade replacement and other maintenance tasks. Additionally, this eliminates the need for spare lines and rail systems, minimizing the installation space required. Since the required cooling length varies depending on the resin, there are two types available: a horizontal type with a long cooling length and a vertical type, with over 300 units delivered domestically. In contrast to the M-USG, which is capable of mass production, we also offer the P-USG, which has the minimum necessary functions tailored for lower processing volumes.
